Patron Comment: Would you consider adding magazine recycle shelves to the branches? It supports your “green” policy and provides patrons with yet another source of information and literature. I do use downtown sometimes but parking is an issue and paying for parking (except Sunday) is another issue. I’m wondering if a small reminder sign would keep us policing the racks ourselves.

Patron Comment: This is a message is directed to "Eli"...I was told your the person to speak with regarding, the problems with audio on most of the computers here...I was also wondering if there was going to be an upgrade regarding the speed of the aadl computers... these two problems have been with us for a while and was wondering if there is a "fix-it" to our problems... I would also like to comment on the hazards of the very dirty keyboard issue in this library... do they ever get cleaned..??? Is it possible to find someone (sub-contractor) who can clean our keyboards and return them..???..should we replace vs. clean them...??? thanx, for your time...

AADL Reply: Hello, thanks for contacting us. Can you tell us a little more about the performance problems you've been running into? In general, there is plenty of capacity for computing, but sometimes a server gets bogged down by a runaway process or peak demand. Any details you can provide about slowness you run into can be helpful. Most reports of slowness we investigate are actually due to the server at the other end of the web being slow to respond to the request coming from AADL. And can you tell us more about the audio problem? Is this the stutter during video, or something else? Flash has been rolling out some bad updates lately that have been causing sound problems for users across the web, and we've been working to undo the bad updates, but things are pretty stable at the moment. As for the keyboards, we do clean them regularly, but thanks to your comment, I will check with the teams responsible for that and make sure that really dirty ones are being replaced as needed.
