Born, May9th, to C. F. Thompson and wife, a son. Wm. A. Heath talks of building a new house the coming summer. Charles Niles has rented a house of C. H. Finney and will move soon. Mrs. Billinghurst, of Albion, is staying with his sister, Mrs. C. F. Thompson. Quarterly meeting was held at the M. E. church, last Sunday. In the afternoon Sabbath school was organized with Edwin Niles, superintendent; Dr. Post, assistant; R. F. Walters, secretary; Bert Darling, treasurer; Dora üarling, organist. Died, in Sumpter, May 9th, of old ige, Catherine, wife of James Sherman, aged 83 years. She was born in Delaware in 1808 and when four years )ld moved to Oswego, N. Y., where ihe was married in 1826 to James Sherman, with whom she lived 65 years. ihortly after they carne to Michigan ,nd have lived on the farm where she lied over 40 years. She has been a aember of the M. E. Church about 60 ears. She leaves a husband and five hildren, Thaddeus, of San Luis bispo, Cal.; Eber, of Arizona; Eliza, of Colorado; Ann and , who live near Willis. Her husband, who survives her, is 88 years old, and they both attended the dedication of the new M. E. church at Willis on May 3rd.
