Says the Adrián Press: Chelsea is bound to be heard f rom. Farmers are going heavily into bean culture, tea times the acreage of any previous year being planted. Supervisor Burlingame, of Ann Arbor township, proposes to prosecute people who may hereafter try to make the towuship a cemetery for dead horses. Hark, from the tombs! About 300,000 wall-eyed pike have been deposited in Zukey lake, by the state fish commissioner. In due time they will become game for spearing parties, who defy the law and damn the fish warden. A sneaking canine sprang at a horse, in Ypsilanti, the other day. The frightened horse upset the carriage, by which the driver was laid out unconscious, and his lady companion's shoulder wasbroken. The dog has committed this kind of sin before, still the owner persists in keeping him, and doubtless growls about his dog tax. On the day of the Saline village election, the candidates gave it out thst the new board would give the town water from the crystal springs of everlasting life, welling up on the Hall farm, make doublé streets paved with gold - no blocks - and put maple trees in the center, and get an electric light planted. Now they are elected, they aren't saying a word about it.
