The New Board Of Control For The Adrian School

Governor Winans, on Thursday last, appointed Mrs. Manall Gooding, of Saline, a member of the board of control of the sflate industrial school for girls, at Adrián. The other memJbers of the board appointed at the eame time were Willard Stearns and Mrs. Laura Crane, oí Adrián. The new members wlll hold office until September 30, when the boards of the various schools are Consolidated. The members of the old board were endeavoring to expend the appropriations o fthe legislature according to their own idoas, before the new consolidated board took charge. John G. Mason, the treasurer, who hos been a thorn in the flesh to the old board, who were running things with a high hand, deelinod to pay orders, but was in a fair way of being forced to do lt, iwhen the governor took a hand anc ly the Infusión of new blood into the board, will prevent the expenditure of all the appropri(ition by the republican appointees.
