Moses Day, of Boston, began Ufe as a poor boy. When a yoving man he walked from Boston to Baltimore in search of work. Finding none he walked back again. He finally obtained emptoyment in a ropewalk, which by diligence and inventive abüity he transformed into one of the largest cordage f actories in the country.
