Rev. Zachary Eddy, D. D., of Detroit, who supplled The Presbyterian pulpit in t'his city before Rev. J. Mills Gelston assumed the pastorate, died at hls home in Detroit, Sunday mornin$ï. aged eventy six years. He was boni in Stockbridge, Vermont. He was ordalned In 1884 and hpcame pastor of a Congregational chureli in Cliaumqua county. X. V. He preaehed for three years in Ueorgia and two in Florida, at tliv end of wilicli he i-ctircd trom the active ministry and returned to Detroit. He leaves a wiíe, whoni he married two years ugo, and five chil di-oiii by a former wif', one of whom te Mrs. Prof. EUner E. Iirown, o this city.
