Mlle. Decca, who sii)gs at the Opera House next Monday evening, bas been receiving the most nattering press notices, and that a treat awaits the public is proven by the following notices from New York, Chicago and Louisville: Mlle. Decca carne to us a perfect strenger and left us an eetablished favorito, Ho such suncess bas been made this season in the Chicasjo Auditorium.- Chicago Times. At the Marine Band Concert last nigut Mlle Decca did some beautifnl singing- some phenornenal siDging- singing that won sincere and deserved applause. Cei'taiu eil'ects of diminuendo, of echo, in whieh she is ainazingly pioficient, of mezzo voice, and of extremely high notes were little short of marvelous. So far Mlle. Decca stands enormously high, so high as to be almost alone upon her pinnacle. - New York Sun. Miss Decca is unquestionably one of tlie greatest singers who have evor been heard in louisville. lier voice is a so]rano of great range and extraordinary purity and smootbneso, and cultivated to the liiKhest pitch of perfècl on. Her execution of the brilliant ■ órnate ariasol' Dounizetti and Rossini was faultless. Miss Decca's voice reminds us ol' Gerster's when that great singer's gilts were unimpaired.
