It Was Not A Suicide
A very ludicrous afĂair happened last Sunday morning about six o'clock, when a gentleman living on E. Liberty street called on the coroner before he was out of bed, and in a solemn and somewhut subdued voiee, stated that he had found a dead body in nis yard, and thought a suicide had been committed. The gentleman then went to the undertaker, routed him f rom bis morning nap, and hastily called up a doctor froni a sound sleep, and when the coroner and doctor arrived at the place, lo and behold, the supposed dead body liad disappeared. The chap had no doubt been out on a big drunk, got tired and laid down to take a nap.
