Mi's. Eliza Jones, widow of the late James Jones, died at her home on Broadway, ïhursday morning at an advanced oíd age. She lias been very feeble tor several years and her deatli was the result of oíd age and dropsy The deceased was born in New York state in 1805 and was in the 88th vearof her life. She was married to James Jones in Ontario co., N.Y., a'id came with her husband to Aun Albor at an early day, when this city was but a struggling hamlet. She was a bright, kind-hearted Christin woman vvlio counted her friends of a lifi ■ in this city by the hundreds. She leaves six ehildren ;is f'ollows: Mis Edgar Wliite, Mrs. Ileleii Minnie and James ï. Jone", . Port Iluron; Charles M. .1 Wiehita, Kansas; Mi's. Sarah icveli and John W. Jones, of this city. The funeral will be held at the residence on Broadway, Saturday afternoon at twö o'clock.
