A few Repubhcans attended the Republican banquet at Ann Arbor, last Tuesday. At this time last year wheat was Í1.12 and wool 25c; now wheat is 85c and wool 18c. How we farmers prosper! J. F. McMillan and sister, Mrs. Pyle, visited their sister, Mrs. Littlebridge, in Grand Rapids, last week. W. E. Stocking attended the director' meeting of the Washtenaw Mutual Fire Insurance Co., last Monday. Mrs. Frank Pyle and Miss Gertrude, of Wilmington, Del., are visiting J. F. McMillan. Rev. Thomas Holmes, of Chelsea, preached at Lima Center, last Sunday, and will preach here again next Sunday at 2 p. m. There are many farmers that have not sown their oats, the ground beiug too wet to work.
