The Ypsilantian evidently does not enter into the approaching political campaign with any great degree of confidence, as witness the following extract from that paper the day before Harrison was nominated: "Give us McKinley, Sherman, Rusk, Alger, Tom Palmer or any Other able and equally patriotic man for a standard bearer, and victory is sure. Under the present circumstances to nomínate Blaine, vvould jeopardize the cause. The same perhaps is true of Harrison."
