Dr. H. L. Crummer, of Omaha, ïs visiting hisson. J. Rosenfeld, of Detroit, was vis.iting S. Blitz, Monday. Hon. William Ball, of Hamburg, was in the city, Monday. Secretary Wade and family have returned from California. Burt Shoemacher was at Silver Lake, Wednesday, fishing. Parson Chase, of Ishpeming, is visiting among friends here. Dr. and Mrs. AV. J. Maynard are visiting at J. W. Maynard's. Mrs. Louis P. Jocelyn visited in Fenton the first of the week. Mrs. Barney, of Colorado, is visiting her mother, Mrs. E. 1). Kinne. Miss Florence Talford, of Grand Rapids, has been visiting Mrs. C. Lomis. Mrs. Charles Stablcr has gone to Omaha for a two months' visit with friends. John O. Jenkins, of the Argus force, spent Sunday with friends in Jackson. Mr. Marión, a leading attorney of Salt Lake City, Utah, is visiting his son here. Dr. W. G. Burdell, of Helena, Montana, a gradúate of '86, is visiting friends. Mrs. John R. Miner returned frora a visit to her son in Chicago, Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Jennings, of Lincoln, Neb., have been in the city this week. George Kingsley, Esq., of Paola, Kansas, is visiting his sister, Mrs. Charles Chapin. Miss Emily Pitkin returned Tuesday evening from a three weeks' visit in Howell. Richard -Kearns, chief clerk ot the state land office, visited at his father's over Sunday. Dr. J. C. Stevens, of Detroit, has been visiting Mrs. Hangsterfer, of East University avenue. James E. Duffy, of the Railroad Commissioner's office in Lansing, was at home Sunday and Monday. Mrs. James R. Bach and daughter and Mrs. Ed. Walker went out to the Keystone club house, yesterday. Frederick Schmid and Aid. Chris tian Martin altended the annual Arbeiter convention in Bay City, this weck. Frank Rash, city attorneyof Detroit, and a party of friends drove over fróm Detroit to spend last Sunday here. G. F. Gruber, formerly of the postoffice news stand, now of Rochester, N. Y., was in the city, Wednesday.
