Lawyers may be beateu in a suit be'ore a court, but most of them are harp enough to keep their eyes on heir clients and see that they are not eaten out of their fees as vvell. One oung attorney had a narrow escape in his direction Wednesday. He was ttorney for a fair defendant in a ecently commenced divorce suit and he young lawyer had an idea that the woman would like to beat him out of lis fees. He becatne convinced of it and watehed the trains. Wednesday noon he learned that his cliënt was preparing to leave on the south bound T. & A. A. train. He hustled around and got out a summons for her, serving t just as the train whistled that was o take her where the lawyer couldn't get her. The fair cliënt raved and tore, but finally gave the lawyer a check for his fees, just as the train carne in.
