Colic, cholera morbus, cramp and many other afïections of the stomach and bowels prevalent at this time of year are due to two causes. First, he depressing effect of the hot weather upon the nervous system, and second, the use of green fruit, cucumbers, meions, etc. No one is afe from painful and even dangerous attacks of these affections unless unusual precautions are taken at this ime of year.
