Mrs. Kelly visited Detroit, Saturday. Mr. J. C. Rouse visited Aan Arbor, Saturday. Mr. Tom Barnes and wife drove over from Dundee, Sunday. Mrs. Belle Taylor returned from Bay City the last of the week. Miss Fannie Day, of Ypsilanti, is visiting Milan friends this week. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Fuller visited Ann Arbor on business, Saturday. Mr. Mell Barnes and son, Walton, left for Quincy, Tuesday morning. Mrs. Whitmarsh and daughter, Imo, are visiting relatives at Inkster. Miss Lucy aad Annis Dexter, of Ypsilanti, visited relatives in Milan and vicinity last week and this. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Bray and son Cari, are camping at the lakes near Hamburg Tuncfion. A large number of the Milán people visited Whitmore Lake, Wednesday, on a Sunday school excursión. The Daughters of Rebekah will give a lawn fete at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Blackmer, August 6th. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Zimmerman left for Put-in-Bay, Monday ruorning, where they will spend a few days resting, boating and fishing. Mr. J. L. Marble opened his new store, Saturday. There was a large crowd going and coming f rom early morning until late in the evening. Lemonade was given to all who cared for it. Mr. Lee Hitchcock has purchased :he bakery business of Mr. Wm. Meedham and opened his new store in the Palmer block, Saturday. He las fine ice cream parlors inconnection with the bakery. Died. - Clyde Kinear, Monday, July 25th, after a long and painful llness. The funeral was held at the house, Wednesday, Rev. G. E. Sloan officiating. The remains were taken to the Mooreville cemetery.
