The new coal sheds just erected by E. B. Hall on the old skating park rounds at the foot of Catharine street, nd adjoining the track3 of the Toledo ailioad, are of mammoth proportions nd may be said to be an ornament to that locality, whicta cannot ofteu be said of a coal shed anywhere. They are 400 feet long with a floor width of 80 feet, and a trestle structure running the entire length at a height of about 15 feet. A careful calculation based upon these dimensions shows a capacity for 470,000 cubic feet of coal, or about 13,000 tons. Tvvo-thirds of this immense building is now fllled with variĆ³os kinds of authracite and bituniinis coal trom miues in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. A spur track f rom the Toledo road has been run into the sheds for the unloading of coal cars, and a bridge built over Allen's creek on the east side of the yards.
