[OFFICIAL.] OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PCBLIC WOBKS, I A.nn Akuok, Mich., Aug-. 81, 18ttó. f Begular meeting. Board met and was called to order by Président Keech. Roll called. Full board present. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. A communication signed by Noah W. Cheever and Joseph II. Vanee, special administrators of the estáte of Merchant H. Goodrich, requesting the Board of Public Works to construct an artificial stone sidewalk instead of stone flagging on Fourth avenue, in front of said estate's properCy. Accepted and flled. ïhe Street Commissioner submitted bids for the construction of a stone walk in front of the Goodrich estáte property on Fourth aveuue, east side, and on Hliron street, south side, in front of Mr. Wm. McCreery's property, number 2S. The bids were found to be as follows: For the Goodrich walk, bid of John Bauingardner, 3 inch stone at 23 cents per toot, 4 inch stoneat 32 cents per foot, laid. For the McCreery walk, bid of John Baumgardner,4 inchstoue all complete, I beams and mason work for $142.00. ■5 inch stone $164.50. For the Goodrich and McCreery walk, bid of the Michigan Artificial Stone Co., at 18 cents per square i'oot. On motion the Wm. McCreery walk bids were referred to Mr. Mclntyre. Mr. Keech moved that the bid of the Michigan Artificial Stone üoinpany be accepted, and the Street Commissioner is hereby ordered to make a contract witb said company. Yens. - Messrs. Keech, Schuh. and Mclntyre. Mr. Mclntyre moved that we reeommend and ask the Commqn Council to appropriate the sum of $75.00 for grading Felch street, at the new culvert just constructed. Yeas. - Messrs. Keech, Schuh, and Mclntyre. The City Engineer reported and submitted street and sidewalk grades, On motion the report and memorandum of grades were accepted and submitted to the Common Council. The street bilis for the monthof August were audited by the Board. The Board then adiourned.
