Office of the Board of Public Works, Ann Arbor, Mich., Aug. 31, 1892.

Regular meeting.

Board met and was called to order by President Keech.

Roll called. Full board present.

Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.

A communication signed by Noah W. Cheever and Joseph H. Vance, special administrators of the estate of Merchant H. Goodrich, requesting the Board of Public Works to construct an artificial stone sidewalk instead of stone flagging on Fourth avenue, in front of said estate's property. Accepted and filed.

The Street Commissioner submitted bids for the construction of a stone walk in front of the Goodrich estate property on Fourth avenue, east side, and on Huron street, south side, in front of Mr. Wm. McCreery's property, number 28. The bids were found to be as follows:

For the Goodrich walk, bid of John Baumgardner, 3 inch stone at 23 cents per foot, 4 inch stone at 32 cents per foot, laid.

For the McCreery walk, bid of John Baumgardner, 4 inch stone all complete, I beams and mason work for $142.00, 5 inch stone $164.50.

For the Goodrich and McCreery walk, bid of the Michigan Artificial Stone Co., at 18 cents per square foot.

On motion the Wm. McCreery walk bids were referred to Mr. McIntyre.

Mr. Keech moved that the bid of the Michigan Artificial Stone Company be accepted, and the Street Commissioner is hereby ordered to make a contract with said company.

Yeas.--Messrs. Keech, Schuh, and McIntyre.

Mr. McIntyre moved that we recommend and ask the Common Council to appropriate the sum of $75.00 for grading Felch street, at the new culvert just constructed.

Yeas.--Messrs. Keech, Schuh, and McIntyre.

The City Engineer reported and submitted street and sidewalk grades,

On motion the report and memorandum of grades were accepted and submitted to the Common Council.

The street bills for the month of August were audited by the Board.

The Board then adjourned.
