Most of the gram is threshed out. Clover seed is a light erop this season. Cora cutting is in progress, with a vcy light erop. The late rains have been a grea1 Tielp to farmers. The yield of potatoes will be very light in this township. Farmers have some of their wheat sowed and up. There is still some to put in. Miss Rhinefrank, of Salem, teaches the fall term of school in the Sutherland district. The Sunday school in the Roberts district will close for this season. It has had a large attendance. Fall term of school 'in District No. 3 is taught this season by Miss Mary E. Blackburn, of Geddes. Mr. J. H. Webb took in the Grand Army encampment at Washington, D. C. , also Mr. Hadley Webb.
