One of the fmest banjos that was ever soen in Ann Arbor bas just been purchased by Mr. Eobert Gerner from the Ann Arbor Organ Company. It was made by A. C. Fairbanks & Co., Boston. This same banjo was on exhibition at the Boston Mechanica' Exhibition, New OrleansCottonCentennial Exposition, and the New York Inatitute Fair, at all of which it took flrst prize, including grand gold medal at New Orleans. The neck of this banjo is of choice selected rose wood, earved and finished in _a superior manner, selected ebony finger board, bound around the edges with ivory and elaborately inlaid in colored pearls in designs original and unique. The neck is one of the flnest pieces of carving and inlaying ever done on a banjo. The rim is of silver elegantly engraved, and has thirty engraved gold brackets. The banjo is valued at $200. Any one desiring to see this fine banjo will find it placed for a few days in the window of Sheehan & Co.'s book store on State street.
