The Demócrata oí Michigan will meet i state eonventiou at the Auditorium, in th City of Detroit, on Tuesday, February 28, at 1 o'clock rjoon, for the purpose of notninatiu one eandidate for Associate Justice of th SupremeCourt for Miehitran, and two cand dates for rejrents of the university, and th transaction of such other business as ma properly come before the eonventios. Eac county in the state will be entitled to oue dele eate for each 51)0 votes cast for Governor at th last general eleetion and oue additional dele gate for a fraction of not less ihan 250 votes lut nocounty shall have less than two delegares in the conveniiou. Under the rule Ion adhered to. all delepntes must be residents o the eounties which they represent in the con vention. The delegates from ench oongresslonal iitrict will meet in cauous it 1U o'cloek a. m., on the day of the eonvention, at quarters to be hereafter desirnated by the central eommitmittee, to recommend persons for service in the organization of the convention. Each district is entitled to one vice-president of the eonvention and one memoer each of the committees on oredentials, permanent organization and order of business and resolutions. All electors who are in sympathy with the principies expressed in the party declarations, who have voted in the past with the Dem( cratle party, who tlnd themselves desirous of associatinff with it in the future and who sympathize with its principlee. although not heretofore identifled with its party name, are cordiallv invited to particípate in the caucuses for the election of delegates to this convention.
