In a farm house between Marcellus and bkaneateles, Me., there is a curiosity. Between the plastering and the siding of the house at one joint, there is a vacant spaoe, which for the past three seasons has been utilized for hivin# purposes by a colony of bees. The colony has grown to such an extent that on a. warm summer day it is sometimes tinsafe to drive horses in theyardnearthem. The family living in the house expect to make repairs ia the fall, and tliey estímate tliat they willharvesf 200 pouads of honey f rom their novel hire.
