The $500 premium by the American Agriculturist -'was paid to"' a Xew Jersey farmer, who raised 134 bushels of Bonanza oats to the acre. The Great Northern is also one of the best yielders. An acre of artichokes will last 40 years after planting and will produce more feed for your sheep, pigs, and cows than any other American fodder plant. No insect, no frost will hurt it.
