Editor ot the Argus: The letter signet! "Irishman," headed "G-ive him time to develop," in your last issue, has just been read, after my return trom among my Indians and other backwoodsmen. Does he really think that "Germán" whom Irishman in Christian charity has seen fit to degrade below the "species homo," which I suppose means human being, (Germ. der Mensen), is really capable of development? This week has much farm work, developing destruction of weeds and of noxious insects, which are legión. Also West Enders are ordered out by the overseer to mend highways so that Irishman can develop more speed from his fast horse on his way to Dexter and Jackson. Meanwhile Germán is very thankful to the Lord for three things: 1. That his eradle stood in the heart of the Reformation. 2. That he is farming under the blessed stars and stripes. 3. That he is erranted time to op.
