A Young Man Ends His Life

Jackson, Aug1. 1U. - Verne S. Carr, a young man 19 yearsof age, son of Spencer E. Carr, of No. '220 ÏN'orth Fleasant street, shot and killed hiinself at noon Friday. No reason can be assigned for the deed, althoug-h it is said that vvhile at work in Chicago the he was so injured by a fall that his mind becaine unbalanced. The unfortunate young man's father became violently insane on learning of the tragedy, and attempted to kill the remaining' members of his family, but was prevented by the timely arrival of neighbors. He may recover.
