School meeting Monday night. Lillie Marmelsky is in Chicago. Mrs. William Needham is .on the sick list. Rev. Geo. Sloan left Monday for Chicago. Miss Alma Sill is visiting friends in Azalia. Mr. and Mrs. Hause visited Toledo last week. S. Ostrander and and C. Johnson are at the Fair. Mrs. Blinn has returned from her Cass City visit. Mrs. Chas. Sill visited friends in Azalia, Wednesday. Miss N. Simpson is entertaining guests from Saginaw. Mrs. Belle Taylor has returned from her Detroit visit. Dr. Raymond, of Detroit, visited Milan friends Saturdav. The Milán school commences one week from next Monday. Mr. T. Barnes, of Dundee, visited Milan friends, Thursday. Mrs. Mead leaves for her home in Mancelona, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. H. Sill have returnj ed from the World's Fair. Prof. Dennison, of Ypsilanti, visited Milan friends, Saturday. Dr. Harper visited Detroit on business the last of the week. Mrs. J. Redman will soon move into her house on Hurd street. Mr. and Mrs. L. Eldredgeare entertaining guests from out of town. Mr. J. Allen, of Erie, Pa., is the guest of his niece, Mrs. J. C. Rouse. Mr. and Maurice Day have returned from their Ypsilanti visit. Mr. and Mrs. A. Andrus entertained guests from Willis last week. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Allen and Miss Ida Alien are at the White City. A wind storm struck Milan Thursday evening, but did no serious damage. Miss Ona Andrus will leave, Thursday, for her school at Iron Mountain. Miss K. Lamb, of Blissfield, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. Knight and family. Mr. S. Andrus drove through to Hart in the northern part of the state last week. Mrs. Geo. Adams left for Detroit, Friday, enroute for her home in New York City. The Baptist ladies' sewing circle meet at Mrs. Wm. Whitmarsh's Tuesday afternoon. The Milan boys are just more than playing baseball thie summer. Sometimes they win. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Kelly were the guests of Rev. Mr. Bartram, Saturday and Sunday. S. Gay is putting down some new walks in front of his property on Main and County street. Mr. and Mrs. Heston and daughter left for their home in St. Louis, Mo. , Saturdaytafternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Shortridge and family leave in a few days for their new home in Warsaw, Ind. The L. O. T. M. hold a tea social at Mrs. Grace Hitchcock's on First street Wednesday afternoon. Miss Waif Blackmer returned Friday from a three weeks visit with her sister, Mrs. W. Farmer, at Toledo. Mr. Kenneth, of Ann Arbor, who has been the guest of his aunt, Mrs. G. R. Williams, left for his home, Monday. Fuller Dexter rnet with quite an accident Saturday in Dundee. His right arm was broken at the wrist by a blow from a horse. Mesdames Chapín, Whitmarsh, Trussel, Barnes, Tripp, Pyle, Debenham and several otriers visited the Eastern Star Lodge at Dundee, Monday evening.
