F. Allen and wife are síriously ill. A large number of Mila'nites did the Adnan fair. Mrs. L. Coe is visiting friends in Detroit, this week. Mrs. Win. Hoyt has returned to her home in Saline. Mrs. L. Clark visited Detroit on business, Wednesday. Arba Andrews is building a nice house on Hurd street. Agent Debenham is back to his old place in the depot. Rev. J. Swindt has moved into the Presbyterian parsonage. Mrs. E. Howard, of Detroit, visited Milan friends this week. Miss E. Brisby, of Oakville, is visiting friends riere this week. J. C. Rouse visited Ann Arbor and Saline the first of the week. Forty tickets were sold at Milan for the VVorld's Fair, Thursday. J. Lockwood is building Jan addition on his house on Second st. Mrs. D. Richards entertained guests from Stony Creek, Monday. Miss Cady returned Monday from a three days sojourn at Ana Arbor. There are quite a number of sick people in and around Milan at present. Miss Mattie Smith returned Saturday from a five weeks' visiting tour. Mrs. H. M. Burtand son Clyde visited Milan friends the first of the week. Mrs. Charles Blackmer and Mrs. Farmer visited Saline the last of the week. The ladies will hold thèir Baptist Fair at the Blackmer block, October 13 and 14. " Mrs. C. M. Fuller has returned from a two weeks' visit with Ann Arbor friends. Rev. E. Yager preached to a full house at the Methodist church, Sunday morning. Wilmer Butler and wife, of Detroit, are visiting their parents here for a few days. Mrs. F. Blinn, of Stony Creek, was the guest of Mrs. G. R. Williams, Monday. Mrs. C. Farmer and children, of Toledo, are the guests of her father, Charles Blackmer. Mrs. H. Whitehead, of Detroit, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Schmitt, this week. Alex. Rule's Theatrical Troupe gave three interesting plays at the opera house, last week. Mrs. Eruma Dentón and son, of Duluth, Minnesota, are the guest of her father Win. F. Hill. Wilson & Son have greatly improved their flouring mili by building a long addition to it. Chas. Gauntlett contemplates erecting a fine residence on West Main street in the spring. Mesdames Nellie Whaley and D. Whaley and children are visiting friends at St. Clare, this week. Charles McMullen has purchased Lee Hitchcock's interest in the bakery and commenced running it on Monday. Dr. Messic stepped on a nail, Wednesday, running it nearly through his rightfoot. He is about on crutches. Arthur Vedder, of Oakville, and Miss Estel Buxton, of Milan, were married at the residence ot the bride's parents, by Rev. George Sloan, on September 28th.
