Noted Civil Engineer Dead

Bay City, Oct. 31.- Charles Martin, a civil engineer of wide reputation. died here Monday morning. Martin was an Englishman and was connected with inany leading engineering feats in England and Canada. Since residing in Bay City he had been at work on a street car motor, the propelling power for which was generated f rom ammonia. He claimed that the smcess of his inven tion was assured and that he would revolutionize the street railWay business.
