We present to our readers a likeness of Henri Marteau, the great French violinist, who is to appear in the S. L. A. course in University Hall tonight. This young man of twenty years bas won the highest praise from such musical critics as Gounod, Saint Saens, and others. He has been secured for a limited number of entertainments in this country, at a great cost. He ha appeared before the leading música organizations not only in this coun try, but in Germany, France, Aus tria, and Switzerland. Everywhere he has been received with the great est favor. Henri Marteau is accompanied by Mme. Rosa Linde and Mr. Edwin M. Shonert. The former is unquestionably the greatest contralto singer of today. She has a clear voice, and sends forth streams of melody apparently without an effort. Edwin M. Shonert holds a high place among American pianists. He has traveled for years with leading concert organizations, and has met with the greatest success. No one can afford to miss this great concert.
