Arrested For Murder

Salt Lake, Dec. 5.- Mrs. Ernma Van Patten has been arrested here on the charge of murdering Soren Neilson, a wealthy banker of Epraim City. Od the 20th of last October Neilson enddenly and mysteriously died and post mortem examination revealed the presence of rough on rats and laudanum in his stomach. Mrs. Van Patten, whc is a niece of Neilson, was visiting her uncle at the time. Investigation has elicited the fact that Mrs. Van Patten had the evening before Neilson's death purchased a vial of laudanum. Mush and milk, which was eerved the same evening and of whioh Neilson partook proved fatal when administered to several fowls. It was learned that S2,000 which Neilson had in his room the evening before his death had disappeared next dav.
