Ten yeara ago Mr. H. Eandall of Boston cntered the photographic business in this city and so conscientiously has he applied himself to the study of bis life that in point of experience and skillful taste lie is qualified to stand in the front rank among the photographers of the country. His ability as an artist has long since been recognized in this part of the state, and in thousands of homes hereabouts, and in fact all over this and foreign coun tries are to be found specimens of his artisticwork. Eecent leading art periodicals have paid the most flattering compliments to Mr. KandalPs photographic work. At the present time he is publishing about 75 copyrighted pictures,'all lus own original productions from life. He makes a specialty of enlarging portraits in crayoii, or color, and is specially successful I I - "- - r h B in his large or small work ot' children. At the American photographers' convention recently held at Buffalo, N. Y., Mr. Randall was awarded first prize on general art work, a marble bust vaíued at $125 for the fínest exhibit. Mr. Eandall also carries a general stock of choice foreign and doíuestic art goods, china and cut glass, in rich bric-a-brac and table wares, suitable tor bolidáy, birtliday and wedding gifts. He carries a large stock of pictures, artist's supplies, ])icture frames and mouldings. Mis stock for the approaching holidays is both abundant and beautiful, selected with a view to snpplying the cultured tasto of Aun Arbor. Mr. Kandall aleo conducta a millinery departme.it which is in charge of Miss Anna Dietz. Three floors, each 25x130 feet is necessary to carrying on the business - from ten to twenty hands being employed in the different departments.
