Severa] new cases of ecarlet íever are repovted. Mr. Burnett, of Lansing, spent a lew days in town. Adrion and Hauser, ilie brevvers, are gettiug ready to cut ice. Presiding-Elder Davis preached at the M. E. churcb last Sunday evening and theie was a large attendance. Mr. Schultz went to Ypsilanti last week and spent a few days at the sanitariam, takiug treatment forrheumatism . # The Sunday school, of Enianuel church will have a Christmas tree and appropriate exercises at the church, Christmas eve. G. Lovejoy has purchased a great many chickens and turkeys the past week and will ship a carload to Boston for the holidays. The young ladies' society of Emanuel church donated ten dollars to the Kim Haurst college for a Christmas present tor the poor students. Ernest Kuenzler and Paul Schoettle, wlio are attending college at Elm i Haurst, are expected home Thursday to spend the holidays with their parents.
