Wealthy Planter Murdered

Vicksburg, Miss., Dec. 25.- Manse] Mitchell. a planter and merohant of this oounty, was niurdered Saturday evening at Ursino Landing, Davis Bend, by Willis Green, colored. Mitchell prevented Green from shipping a bale of stolen cottun, which was the only provocution for the crime. The ïnurderer escaped.
