St. Josepii, Mieh.. Jan. 25.- James McCarthy, who received a two and onehalf years' sentenoe in state prison for obtaining money on worthless ehecks, lies unconscious in his cell in thecounty jail. His tongue is svvollen twice its regular size, and he has not eaten anything since the day of his trial. It is thought that he took poison.
