Aid. O'Mara is back from Auburn, Ind. Miss Florence Stcrrett is visiting ia Decatur. John W. Bennett, J. P., was ín Detroit yesterday. Herman Hutzel is attending the national brickmakers convention in Chicago. Prof. and Mrs. A. A. Stanley give a reception at their home this evening. Misses Ada and Bessie Stevens give a reception to their young friends, Saturday evening. E. T. McClure left Tuesday on a Southern trip, which includes New Orleans, Tacksonville and Cuba. . D. Ryan returned on Tuesday from Battlë Creek. He is contemplating a trip to the Pacific coast. Miss Elva Johnson, who has been visiting Miss Allie Curtiss, has returned to her home in Athens,Mich. Mr. and Mrs. G. Josenhans entertained the many clerks in Mack & S; hmid's store on Monday evening. Dr. D. A. MacLachlan And Robert Phillips went to Detroit last night to attend the St. Andrews concert. Mr. and Mrs. Cari. Klotz, of St. Catherines, Ont., are in the city, called here by the death of Mrs. Klotz's brother, William F. Eberbach. VV. W. Watts, George Bluni, and John Dowdigan were in Saginaw three days this week altending the sessions of the grand lodge of F. and A. M. Mr. Charles Burridge, of Tecuriisch, was an Argus caller Tuesday. He stopped off on bis way from Detroit to cali on his daughter Mary, who is a sophomore ín the University. Dr. William Flynn and bride, of West Branch, Mich., are expected here next week on their wedding tour. As the doctor is an oíd Ano Arbor boy, he will expect a cali from all his old friends at his mother's, Mrs. John Flynn's, North First street.
