Sherwood, March"26. - Mrs. S. F. Worden, who lives near here iu Leónidas township, was looking for eggs in a etrawstack and reachsd her hand in a next. On going to the house she said there was a sliver in her thumb and had her husbaud try to find ifc. No sliver conld be found, hut the hand kept paining her. and a physician was called. He did all he could to relieve her, but she died in a short time in terrible agony. It is supposed that a snake or soma other poisonous reptile was in the neat and bit her. The reason of this snpposition is that the weather haa büen warm enough so that Bnakes have already been seen. She was a highly esteemed woman and had a large circle of friends.
