Washington, May 1. - Miss Harrwt Blaire, the remaining single daughter of the late James G. Blaine, was married Monday to Mr. Truxton Beale of Washington, formerly minister to Pereia and to Greece. The wedding took place at the Blaine residence on Lafayette square, near the White House, where the Maine statesman died. While many persons prominent in official Ufe ere present at the ceremony, they were invited iu a private capacity as old friends of the fainily. No formal invitations were isseud. The ceremony took place at 1 o'clock in the big drawingroom on the ground floor of the old mansiĆ³n. The decorations were auperb. White lilacs and bride roses were used and they were distributed throughout the room in wonderful profusiĆ³n. Iinmediately following the ceremony breakfast was served, after which Mr. and Mrs. Beale left for New York, whence they will go to the country place of William W alter Phelps on the Hudson for a few weeks of their honeymoon, and from their will go to California, where the graoin has a largfl DroTertv.
