Fred Wilson has returned from bis Detroit visit. Miss Maud Reynolds entertained a frieud f rom Detroit over Suuday. Mrs. J. II. Ford entertaiued guests from Mooreville the last of the week. Mr. and Mrs. E. Ilinkley entertained guests from out of tovvn over Suuday. The Milan Maccabees visited the Dundee Maccabees Wednesday evening. Mrs. Wilkinson and Mrs. Minto drove to Ypsilanti Monday on business. Mrs. II. Putman returned from a several weeks sojourn at Ann Arbor, last week. Mrs. Whitmars and daughter are visiting frieuds in Inksier, Plymouth and Detroit. F. Rosa and cousiu attended the funeral oí üieir aunt, Mrs. Wm. lioss, at Monroe Friday. Merchants are selling eggs 11 cents per dozen, butter 21 cents per lb., and lard 10 cents per lb. Mrs. Wilkinson, of Vernon, Mich., is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Menter for a few weeks. Arthur Delaforce wil! build a line residence on the corner of First and Church streets, tuis spring. The Presbyterian ladies will hold their tea social at the house of Mrs. A. B. Stnith on First street, Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse attended the meeting of the Washtenaw County Baptist association at Ypsianti, Wednesday aud Thursday. Messrs. E. Gay and W. Blackmer have put their merry-go-round on a vacant lot on East Main street and will soon be ready for business. Miss Jessie Graham is now agent for the Bell Telephone, and the 'phone was moved from the bank to the express office on East Main street last week. Mrs. Wilmer Butler and son, who have been visiting friends and relatives in Milan for several weeks, left for their home in Detroit the first part of the week. B. Y. P. U. ladies tried again Saturday night to kave their ice cream entertainment, but the inclement weather kept people at home so it was not a financia! success. The union gospel temperance meeting was held at the Presbyterian church under the auspices of the W. C. T. U. Kev. J. Swindt preached a very interesting sermón. Miss Ilattie Jacobs' case against the Junction school district has been appealed to the Monroe circuit court. It will be remembered that the jury brought a verdict iu Miss Jacobs favor.
