Martin Haller has been in Jackson . this wek. Mrs. C. A. Wright gave a j tion last evening. John Costello, the postmaster of Dexter, was in the city yesterday. Prof. Delos Fall, of Albi n college, was in the city, Wednesday. James C. Lewis, of Utica, Mich., is visiting his brother, F. J. Lewis. Capt. Chas. E. Hiscock returned f rom Frankfort, Wednesday evening. Miss Lou Geuther, of Detroit, is visiting Miss Matelda Koch for a week. Miss Francés Seabolt has returned from a visit to her 'brother Charles, of Flint. County Commissioner of Schools Cavanaugh is visiting the schools of Lyndon. Albert Sorg is in Detroit organizing a company to construct his step ladder. Prof. C. M. Gayley, of Berkley, California, has been visiting his mother here. Mrs. Charles LeSuer, of Toledo, Ohio, who was visiting Mrs. Charles B. Davison, has returned home. Mrs. Howard, of Lansing, and Mrs. S. W. Clarkson go to Manchester today to visit L. D. Watkins. Mr. and Mrs. Tuomey and ter, who have been visiting at Ld ward Duffy's, returned to Jackson, Wednesday. J. Austin Bucknall, dent '95, went to Detroit yesterday to secure his theatrical costume for the Harris hall Saturday performance. Miss Flora Clark left this morning for Detroit to visit Miss Grant who has been visiting Mrs. M. A. Lukins and who returned to Detroit this morning. Miss Belle Maxon (U. of M. Elocutionary department, '94,) is in the city this week, attending the final Harris hall festivals rehearsals. She has a very large class in Saline. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel G. Miller, of Prospect street, are entertaining friends. They are Miss Alexander, sister of Mrs. Miller, also a niece, Mrs. Brinkerhoff, and her son Rene, all of Wooster, Ohio. They will be in the city two weeks.
