JjANSing, May 29.- Proseeutor Gardner is bending all bis energies to the prepartion of the case against Attorney Geueral Ellis for forgery, whioh is to be tried at Máson next week. The nervous proseeuting attorney is ia alniost consultation with his witnesses, and he keeps Deputy Sheriff Wright busy looking vip and gathering in the odds and ends of evidence to be used on the trial. The public is assured that considerable testiinony that is new and sensational will be introdueed, and several witnesses of importance have recently come into the case. The defendant is coolly planning his case and is positive that npon the trial he will be able to establish his innocence of the grave charge whieh has been lodged against bim. The caae will be one of the most important (trowing out of the grand jury investiiration.
