Tefft Found Guilty
Hastings, May 31.- The jury in the Tefft mnrder case arrived at a verdict at 2 o'elock Wednesday morning. after being out six and one-half hours, fiuding Tefft gnilty of murder in the second degree. Tefft took the verdict coólly, never losing the nervo which has sustained lnin during the whole trial, líe has been surrcunded frpm the bezinning to the end with a chaiu of eirv-ti;nstantial eviuence which it was imiiossible to break. : Tefft made no attempt to show where he was on the uight of the mnrder. The verdict gives universal satiaf actión. Great syinpathy is exprussed . for the j aged parents and young 6ister of the prisoner.
