Charles B. M'cloy Missing
Bay City, June 4.- Charles B. McCloy, bookeeper for the oíd Second National bank, i9 missing, and an expert, who has been looking over hia accounts, fiuds a shortage of $6,150, which inay still be increased 1,000 or 52,000. McCloy asked perinission to risit a brother at Detroit last Monday, and was to return the following inorning. Not until Wednesday did the bank officials suspect anything wrong. When he failed to return that day, they cominenced an investigation with theabovereault, but did not inake the afïair public uutil Saturday. McCloy has been with the bank for 15 years and the utmost confidence was placed in hirn. He frequently ocoupied the teller's desk during the latter'9 absence and had charge of bilis and the certificates of deposit. In the latter account that shortage has been found. The bank's loss is practically nothing, as it is secured by a bond of 5,000 in the New York Bond Indemnity coinpany, and also bas possession of building and loan stock owned by McCloy, which is worth S800.
