She Attempted Suicide
Detroit, June 21. - Mrs. John I litski, th.6 wife of a grocer at the córner i of Campbell and Buchanan avenues, j tempted to coinruit suicide by cutting i her throat. Froui sonie unknown reason last day her mind seerned tobe giving away, and since then she has made several threats to sever her connections with this world. A close watch has been kept upon her actions by her husband, who feared she would carry her threat into execution, On Sunday when she went to church she toid her husbanÜ to look af ter the children as he would never seeher alive again. When she returned from church she seemed to have forgotten all about her threat. Shortly after dinner yesterday her husband mi. ed her for about five min utes. and on looking for her found her lying in the woodshed with her throat cut and the blood pouring from the wound. An ordinary breadknife lay beside her. showing that she had usedit in the deed. Dr. Henry called the Emergency hospital ambulance and she was taken to that institution. Dr. Hal C. Wyuian examined the wound and said she had gevered the wm ipipe coiupletely. He dressed her wonnds, but gives little hope for her recovery.
