Discharge Prevents A Strike

Toledo, Uluo, July 9. - Keceiver Uallaway of the Toledo, St. Louis fe Kansas City railway has given orders shutting down all the shops, stopping' all freight trains and discharging all employés except those needed to run a few passenger trains. He had been notified by the employés that they would strike, having been ordered out by the A. R. U. "The men seemed to want to tie us up," said Mr. Callaway, "and we gave them all the help we could."
