On Wednesday the following telegraphic correspondence passed between Mayor Pingree, of Detroit, and acting Mayor Wines, of Ann Arbor: Pingree to Wines: - "Will you join in a petition to congress for the submission of an amendment to the constitution, if necessary, unde which laws may be enacted for the submission of insterstate labor trou bles to arbitration. Have tele graphed the same to 100 mayors.' Wines to Pingree:- "I will gladly join you in petitioning congress to devise suitable legislation to cover all cases of interstate labor dirficul ties. If after due consideration b) congress and the people of the na tion a constitutional amendment is deemed sufficient, providing for ar bitration before an established board or otherwise, I am sure I ran promise you the unanimous support o the citizens of Ann Arbor. If Mr Pullman will not consent to arbitra tion after law has been re-enthroned I will gladly join with the people of the United States to have nothing to do with a single dollar's worth o property owned by him."
