The youugest cbild of Mr, and Mrs. Ilenry WMtaere, died Wednesday, July LSth, of cholera infantum. Funeral, Friday at the house, and burial in Thayer's cemetery. To Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hammond, at Peeble's corners, a boy, one day last week. Witt Fackard opened an ice eream tent across trom Chapin's store Öuturday night. Mary Austin was married to Lou Hob, of Dexter, at Whitmore Lake, Wednesday, July 18tli. Lightning struck the bain at Heury Whitacre's, Friday, and killed one of his best horses and badly injured two others. George Nollar's house was struck by lightning last Friday and was quite badly dainaged. No one was hurt, but a lady visitiug there was quite severely shocked. Lightning set fire to a shock of wheat in John Roberts' field and Uso to a post in front of Charlie Ryder's house, Friday. A close cali to the house, wesift it. The west M. E. Sunday school will give a lawn social at Joseph Ilerrick's tonight (Friday). Ice cream will be served. The Lapaam's Sunday school will give an ice cream social at Wm. J5ussey's toniorrow, (Saturday) uight. Misses Mollie and Mabel Corson, of Aun Arbor, are visitingat J. H. Woodworth's, this week.
