Farmers' Picnic. The farmers' annual basket picnic will be held at Whitmore Lake on Saturday, August 25. It is expected the nominees for governor, of all political parties represented in Michigan, will be present. Half fare rates will undoubtedly be given by all railroads. Miller, Dexter, Mich., to visit his plum orchard, as it is a beautiful sight. He expects to get hundreds of bushels. He has the finest red, blue and green plums. Anyone wishing some of these would be wise to send in their order. It won't be but a month before the plums will be ripe and many bushels have been sold already.
