Saturday's Times contains the following: "The report of yesterday's republican congressional convention which appeared in this morning's Free Press and which also appears in to-day's Argus was erroneous in many places. Sawyer got 21 votes from Washtenaw every time until Spaulding was nominated. Jackson never attempted to cast a vote for Spaulding and there are several otner inaccuracies in the report." As the Editor of the Times was present at the convention and was an active participator he should cnow whereof he affirms.
