Hon. S. O. Fisher, democratie candidate for governor, owing to unavoidable circumstances will be unable to particípate in the quadrangular political discussion at the Farmers' picnic, tomorrow. Democrats who are anxious to see and hear this able and fearless exponent of "tariff for revenue only" will feel some disappointment in consequence of this announcement. It gives us pleasure to announce, however, on the authority of Secretary P. C. Reeve, that the Hon. C. P. Black, ex-United States district attorney, a gentleman of much eloquence and a master of democratie doctrines, will represent Mr. Fisher and bear the democratie part of the discussion. That he will ably and eloquently respond to his share in the debate need not be said. He is too well known as an orator and debator to need such an assurance. The gubernatorial nominees of the republican, populist and prohibition parties have expressed their intention to be present and take part in the debate and the chicken-leg dinner.
