It is the fashion now for ladies' maids to keep diaries two or three weeks ahead of their mistresses' probable engagetnents, putting the name of the dress against the day. The lady looks at the list at tho begnming of each week, and if she does not approve of the gowna to be worn she alters it. It saves a great Seal of flurry at the time of dressing.
