The representative convention for he second district, of Washtenaw was held yesterday at Saline. The convention was organized at n o'clock by the election of John Terns, of Ypsilanti, temporary chairman, and Frank Palmer, of Bridgewater, temporary secretary. The usual committees were appointed and the convention adjourned for dinner. On reassembling at i o'clock the committees made their reports. The temorary organization was made permanent and at 2 o'clock the con vention was ready for nominations Representative F. E. Mills, of Pitts field, was placed in nomination by Willis Watkins, of Manchester, and Frank P. Bogardus, of Ypsilanti, by M. T. Woodruff. The first ballot was informal and resulted as follows: Bogardus 41 Mills 56 The ballot was then made formnl and unanimous. Resolutions were passed endorsing the record of Mr. Mills in his legislative work. The following campaign committee was appointed: M. T. Woodruff, P. G. Sukey, Jacob Miller. Convention then adjourned.
